If you are planning on having a wedding this summer, chances are you already have all the major items and events figured out. Fortunately, this doesn’t mean you can’t add in extra options and features. Here are a few additional options to consider for your dream wedding this summer.
If you’re on Snapchat, you may know what a geofilter is. If not, it’s essentially a creative overlay on your images or videos that capture what you’re doing or where you are. Now there’s the option to create and purchase customized geofilters — either through a designer or through the Snapchat website with templates such as the ones shown below. This trend is a fun and popular flair for weddings. Not to mention, it’s an easy last-minute addition!
Charity Wedding Registries
Registries at your favorite stores are very traditional, but if you want to do something a little different and give back, having a charity wedding registry is a great trend to consider. Instead of asking for traditional gifts, you can ask loved ones and friends to donate to a charity or a cause of your choice. Not only is this an ideal option for guests still on the hunt for a last-minute contribution, but it’s also extremely rewarding.
Garden Inspired Floral
Throughout 2017 so far, garden-inspired floral has become quite the popular wedding trend. Going into summer, we’re seeing more and more greenery, leafy arrangements and subtle hints of color. It’s a minimalistic style that comes in a variety of arrangements and provides added natural, stunning beauty. If you’ve got most of your floral designs figured out already, it’s not too late to incorporate a little more green!
Neutral Tones & Bright Accents
Still working on some color coordination or small decor additions for your summer wedding? Neutral tones are trending and timeless. Along with these classic color schemes, bright accents tend to complement well. Pink is especially standing out as the summer trend for the perfect hint of color.
Summer brides-to-be may already have venues in mind or even booked, but it’s not too late to consider a rooftop venue for additional wedding celebrations — such as engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, receptions or even photo opportunities. During the summertime, there’s no better place for events than rooftop venues with picture-perfect views, soaring skylines and an impressive sunset to top it all off!
