2023 Free Music Concert Series

Live at The Centre is an exciting new collaboration between The Centre Escondido and the Six String Society. We are committed to making the joy of live music accessible to everyone and bringing some of San Diego’s finest acts to inland north county while keeping admission free!

We are tremendously excited to be kicking off this fantastic new concert series with 2022 San Diego Music Award winner The Sleepwalkers. Also, joining the lineup will be 2022 San Diego Music Award nominee The Sea Monks along with 2023 New Artist of the Year nominee Zavala Sol. The evening will even start off with the one and only Sir Robert Parker on piano.

The musical styles will range from Cumbia, Rockabilly, Latin, Blues, Americana, Soul & Country, so be prepared to dance the night away!

You will enjoy sweeping panoramic views of Escondido and the surrounding mountains on The Centre’s rooftop venue Moonlight Veranda. One of North County San Diego’s best outdoor event spaces, The Centre is where luxury meets convenience. A unique locale where extraordinary shopping, fine-dining, and memorable event spaces meet under one roof.

More About The Bands

The Sleepwalkers who hail from National City California, have been playing their brand of Chicano roots rock since 1994. They infuse a mix of rockabilly and cumbias for a sound that definitely gets folks out on the dance floor! Because of their eclectic style, they have played with the likes of The Texas Tornados, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Ronnie Dawson, Wayne Hancock, The Blasters, Link Wray, Big Sandy, Pacnho Sanchez, Manic Hispanic, and Ozomatli to name a few. They have been nominated numerious times over the years for the San Diego Music Awards, winning in the Best Americana category.

The Sea Monks have risen from the blues depths to put a little salt back into your soul! This exciting young band mixes the blues, rockabilly, honky tonk, and country, so prepare yourselves for this San Diego Music Award nominee for what’s always a great time!

Zavala Sol is a blues band that can only be described as “Blues with rhythm”. They combine funk, soul and rock and deliver it like no other band can. The musicianship and powerhouse vocals have earned them a 2023 nomination for “Best New Artist” by the San Diego Music Awards!
