As many of you know The Centre is home to a selection of venue spaces for events both large and small…an ideal location for variety of celebrations and gatherings, including charity driven events. This October 17th 2015 we would love for you to join us (and help spread the word) as we we host an extremely important gala that is meant raise awareness and funds to help prevent domestic abuse. The upcoming “Heels and Wheels” charity gala will aid the nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, No More Silence, and their crowdfund campaign effort to raise funds that will help them launch a special mobile app and “buddy system” to help those affected by domestic violence.
About No More Silence
No More Silence aims to be a proactive and progressive force in creating a lifestyle against all forms of domestic abuse. The co-founder, Loran Kelley III, has a very close personal affliction with domestic violence, which lead him to become a passionate advocate working to raise awareness on the matter. He truly is the heart behind the nonprofit effort and we encourage you to read his story here. Together with his partner, LaurieAnne Mahoney, they hope to build a truly powerful and empowering resource for individuals (and their family members) who deal with the unfortunate reality that surrounds this issue. To make this happen, No More Silence, has partnered with K Three Media Group to create a revolutionary “buddy system” product and app that will become an actionable resource for women, men and children who are victims of domestic abuse.
